A shackle is a u-shaped connecting tool with a load-bearing designed to be used with removable pin. Shackles may be used to attach various lifting slings and chain, or rope, to an object or to one another for load securement applications. A shackle has two main paths, the body and pin. The body may have the anchor form (bow) or the chain form (D type). So, each body shape is possible to use with a screw pin or bolt-type pin, depending on the specific application.
